Alarm bells ringing for Obama in Afghanistan
April 28, 2011
Peshawar(Pakistan):Situation in Afghanistan is worsening and there are signs that this year fighting season in Afghanistan will be tougher for America -led coalition forces as the defence and political analyst say that Afghan resistence movement seems to have gained further strentgh and recent incidence of jail break and shooting of eight american troops by an afghan pilot is something which can not be ignored. It seems that resistence movement in Afghanistan have somehow penetrated ranks and files of afghan army and it will be very difficult for coalition forces to trust them.To complicate the situation for Obama even more is the tense relationship of USA with Pakistan government in the recent days and there are no signs that these relations could be put on track before the fresh fighting season starts. In the recent days US adminstration high officials have come out with strong criticism of Pakistan ISI which have further complicated the situation.Pakistan political and military leadership is unhappy that america did not fulfill its promise of stopping drone attacks in return of what Pakistan government did for the release of Reymond Davis who killed three pakistanis in broad day light. There are many in Pakistan who are advising Pakistan government to gradually change its foreign ploicy and stop depending too much on USA and further ask to warm up its ties with China who is more trustworthy .The problem is that By all counts America has lost Afghan war and it is high time that Obama tells the truth about afghan war to his people whose tax money is being spent on a venture which is causing destruction in a Muslim country but without any prospects of truimph and writing on the wall is very much visible that US forces can not win this war.Furthermore american people know what freedom is and what is value of freedom and they should force their government to rethink its afghan policy.
