Education research in the world: where do we stand? Themes, methodologies, and research policies. (Paris Headquarters, 14-17 June 2011)
In the framework of its mission and activities for 2011, UNESCO’s new Education Research and Foresight Team (ED/ERF) together with The Francophone International Association for Scientific Research ( l’Association Francophone Internationale de la Recherche Scientifique en Education, AFIRSE) is organizing an international congress on the state of education research, which will take place 14 to 17 June in Paris at UNESCO Headquarters.
The congress will bring together the most prominent experts and researchers in education in the francophone world and will also benefit from experts and researchers from other linguistic areas.
The international congress on the state of education research aims at mapping the current status of education research policies in francophone countries and beyond. The following issues will particularly be considered :
- The status of research with education authorities in different socio-political, socioeconomic and institutional contexts
- The place of research in decision making, in policy formulation and in management of education policies
